Cooling Station Mayor Angela Lloyd, in conjunction with emergency management, has established a cooling station at the Middletown Borough MCSO gym located at 60 West Emaus Street Monday through Thursday (July 13-16, 2026) from 12-5pm. Borough Offices Closed – July 3, 2026 Borough offices will be closed Friday, July 3, 2026 to observe the holiday.
Trash Collection – Early Start Due to Extreme Temperatures Penn Waste will be starting collections early this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday due to the extreme weather conditions. Collections will start at 5 am, each of these days, to ensure the trucks are not out during the hottest part of the day. Please make sure your trash is out the night before your pickup day.
Roadwork Main/Union (June 22-25, 2026) Wexcon will be doing sanitary sewer replacement next week (Monday – Thursday) from 6pm-6am crossing E. Main St. @ N. Union St. with sewer main replacement and setting the final manhole.
Middletown Borough New Electric Rate For the Residential Rate Class: Beginning 7/1/2026, the per kwh rate will increase from 11.6 cents to 12.8 cents.
