Power Outage Scheduled for Woodland Hills Area

A planned power outage that will affect residents in the Woodland Hills area is scheduled for Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 8 a.m. until approximately 4 p.m. in order for crane usage at the Turnpike Bridge replacement project.

Attention Residents – Ann Street Re-Paving

PennDOT has notified the Borough they will begin re-paving Ann Street. Milling will be performed on May 24 through May 27 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Paving will be performed June 1 through June 4 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dates and times may vary due to weather conditions. Expect traffic delays and temporary no parking during this time.

Vaccine Eligibility Update

For Pennsylvanians looking to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, eligibility has now expanded beyond Phase 1A, which primarily focused on people age 65 and over and those age 16-64 with high-risk health conditions. Home Heating Assistance Program Extended

The Department of Human Services is extending the 2020-21 Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) season and will now accept applications through April 30. North Union Street Bridge Construction

Construction of the North Union Street Bridge over the PA Turnpike will begin on April 12, 2021. There will be a temporary bridge constructed with 2 lanes of traffic to be utilized during the construction of the new bridge. Construction is anticipated to be completed in November 2022.
